Overview
The original Elation VOLT series of battery-powered wireless DMX lighting fixtures has been discontinued and succeeded by the next-generation VOLT+ series.
Customers looking to replace older VOLT fixtures, including the popular VOLT Q5 (VOL106), should consider the new VOLT+ PAR S and VOLT+ PAR L models.
The VOLT+ series builds on the original VOLT concept with updated LED color systems, rechargeable battery operation, and the new Aria X2 wireless DMX system.

Wireless DMX Compatibility
Important: The original VOLT and new VOLT+ series use different wireless DMX systems and are NOT directly wireless-compatible.
Original VOLT series: Uses EWDMX or W-DMX wireless protocols, depending on the model.
New VOLT+ series: Uses the Aria X2 wireless DMX system.
These wireless systems are not cross-compatible.
Customers upgrading from the original VOLT series to VOLT+ will need a compatible Aria X2 wireless DMX transmitter/source to use the new fixtures wirelessly.
Existing EWDMX or W-DMX transmitters cannot directly control VOLT+ fixtures through their built-in wireless receivers.
Customers operating a mixed fleet of original VOLT and VOLT+ fixtures should plan for separate compatible wireless systems or another appropriate control configuration.
Replacing an Original VOLT Q5
If you currently own a VOLT Q5 or another discontinued VOLT series fixture, the VOLT+ PAR S and VOLT+ PAR L are the current successor product family to consider.
However, these are not necessarily direct one-for-one replacements.
When selecting a new fixture, compare:
Light output and beam angle
Color-mixing capabilities
Battery runtime
Wireless DMX system and compatibility
Fixture size and mounting requirements
Accessories and charging arrangements
Important: Existing VOLT wireless transmitters, charging equipment, and accessories should not be assumed compatible with VOLT+.

The VOLT+ PAR S provides a compact solution, while the VOLT+ PAR L offers higher output and a narrower beam for applications requiring greater intensity or more focused coverage.
